Application Support Analyst required by expanding software solution provider to train to provide high quality application support to their customers. You will provide internal support and work with the project teams with application configuration and deployment.
Application Support Analyst will hopefully have a couple of years experience and have excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude Support opportunity. It’s a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days home-based. Our client is ideally situated a few minutes off the A55 in North Wales, and is easily accessible from the Wirral, Chester and North Wales. They are offering to £25K attractive salary + benefits depending on experience.
Application Support Analyst – Skills and Experience Required
- Previous support experience
- Experience with a call logging application
- Good proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Good customer facing skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Application Support Analyst – Desirable Skills
- Previous experience providing technical support for bespoke software applications
- Experience of writing SQL queries for Oracle/MSSQL databases
- Knowledge of Linux OS and basic commands
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Bash
- SharePoint
- Project Management
Key Responsibilities:
- log and progress support tickets using Jira
- Investigate and resolve 1st and 2nd line support issues
- Ensure that support incidents are handled within SLA
- Escalate issues to the Support Supervisor as necessary
- Monitor application performance
- Deploy and update the application both internally, and on customer systems
- Liaise with the test and development teams for resolution of application bugs
- Work with project teams on the configuration of the application for new customers
- Keep up to date with internal training and new application functionality
- Provide assistance and advice to other members of the support team
- Maintain and update existing support documentation and create new documentation as required
