Infrastructure Security Engineer – Skills and Experience in some of the following:-

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux (or at least one at advanced level).
  • Competent in installing, configuring and maintaining servers (Windows/Linux).
  • Security auditing from an infrastructure perspective
  • Multi factor authentication implementation
  • Identification of providers
  • SSO
  • Competent in installing and managing web server technology
  • Knowledge of the deployment of application server technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of communications device management and policies (firewalls, switches etc).
  • Strong knowledge of network design and implementation principles.
  • Ability to design and implement resilience mechanisms.
  • Ability to design and manage backup solutions.
  • Knowledge of implementation of EDI, XML and Web Services.
  • Experience with virtualisation tools (e.g. VMWare/Hyper-V etc).
  • Strong knowledge with the configuration of Cloud platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS / Azure).

With regards to technical skills, our client does not necessarily expect candidates to have experience of every item listed. Our client will judge candidates primarily on their depth of knowledge and experience of the items they do claim to have experience of.

Infrastructure Security Engineer – Main Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Candidates need to be proactive, self-motivated and have the ability to work well both in a group and on individual tasks, with a hands-on approach and mind set for improvement and optimisation.
  • Interfacing with multiple internal stakeholders including Development, Projects, Test and Support teams.
  • Interfacing with end users and all other external stakeholders in order to determine their evolving needs including ideal deployment and scalability requirements for new product capabilities.
  • Building and maintaining scalable, reliable and repeatable infrastructure.
  • Ensuring business continuity and systems availability.
  • Ensuring security and adherence to ISO 27001 security standards.
  • Flexibility to on occasion deal with out of hours issues.
  • Work alongside the Infrastructure Manager to deliver the Technical Plan.

Java Developer – Key Skills and Experience

Java Developer – Accountabilities:

Provide professional Developer/ Programmer expertise to support the successful delivery of project implementations.

  • Code and unit test enhancements to an existing JEE Web-Based application
  • Create and review low level designs
  • Liaise with clients to support customer test cycles (e.g. SIT, UAT, OAT etc.)
  • Liaise with 2nd line support to support code changes into Pre-Production and Production Environments
  • Liaise with 3rd line to support code changes going into Production
  • Provide mentorship and code review support for the wider team
  • Internal solution designing and documentation
  • Specification of solution enhancements (Application, EDI, Dashboard Charting etc.)
  • Solution enhancement testing and integration testing
  • Liaison with customer and project 3rd parties
  • Customer support during the implementation phase(s)
  • Post go-live solution hand-over activities

Operations Systems Lead – Essential Skills and Experience

Operations Systems Lead -Job Accountabilities:

·        Project Administration (General)

  • Supporting the Head of MIS with the initiation, scoping, planning, budgetary control, and ongoing management of a variety of projects.  These projects can be discrete process improvement drives (low cost, short timeframe) or strategic environment changes (up to £1m, and several years)
  • Assume full responsibility for projects where necessary; arrange and chair project meetings as required

·        Supply Chain & Logistics Systems

  • Work with the ERP Project Lead to support the Head of Manufacturing & Logistics with system adjustments to support operational changes and/or better reporting

·        Manufacturing Systems

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the manufacturing site processes and how they are supported in the system
  • Partner with the manufacturing finance manager (based in Cheshire) on the longer term goals of the sites, in the general sense, to foresee how technology might support them.

·        General/Other Systems

  • Support general aspects of ERP work projects, globally; these needs largely arise from new company acquisitions, existing company enhancements, out of day-to-day user support
  • Liaise with the ERP Project Lead, BI Manager, and external ERP consultants on technical matters, in order to successfully complete initiatives
